- A red-tailed lizard

tailed lizard - a lizard
- We hear the frogs singing common in many ponds

Where In Emerald Can I Get Haircuts And Groom?
Monfragüe Jerte Vale
Hi all
15 to April 20, the group "evicted Naturalist" (old workshop nature of Cartagena) we walked through several natural areas of Extremadura. Our main objective was birds, but at times also we looked at the area herpetic.
Two places we visited with a good variety of herpete were Monfragüe and Jerte Valley.

In Monfragüe saw 12 species of herpete: viper snake, terrapin, newt, lizard tailed, common frog, frog southern salamander, common gecko, common toad, natterjack toad, newt newt Iberian and pygmy.

On Thursday 24 March at the road up to dry in the height of the hostel in El Valle, a snake cowl ( Macroprotodon brevis) about 25 cm. And last Friday, April 1, sunning between Campotéjar gaps, a water snake (Natrix maura ) of about 35 cm and a ladder snake ( Rinechis scalaris) close to the meter.
