The 17/05/2011 watched a pink gecko gecko on a common terrace house in Cuba Source (Cartagena). This is a behavior that had never seen: I was 2-3 minutes looking at the pink gecko geko on until the pink gecko ran up the wall (the common gecko was unfazed.) There were no signs of fighting or mating.

Where In Emerald Can I Get Haircuts And Groom?

Monfragüe Jerte Vale

Hi all

15 to April 20, the group "evicted Naturalist" (old workshop nature of Cartagena) we walked through several natural areas of Extremadura. Our main objective was birds, but at times also we looked at the area herpetic.

Two places we visited with a good variety of herpete were Monfragüe and Jerte Valley.

In Monfragüe saw 12 species of herpete: viper snake, terrapin, newt, lizard tailed, common frog, frog southern salamander, common gecko, common toad, natterjack toad, newt newt Iberian and pygmy.

Hi all There is now a new way to raise our observations of amphibians and reptiles.
is the SIARE (Information Server Amphibians and Reptiles of Spain): http://siare.herpetologica.es/inicio/inicio

The objectives of SIARE are

- Creating a herpetological information server that allows access to information on herpetological biodiversity in Spain.
- Create a network of volunteers in the field herpetology in Spain.
- Create a tool for long-term monitoring of the evolution of populations of Amphibians and Reptiles of Spain.
- Identify the most reliable indicators of the status of herpetofauna in Spain and propose new projects to feed the SIARE.
- Allow access to information for those interested in the subject and especially the volunteers.
- Update the database of the AHE from the comments made by prospectors and SARE programs and AHEnuario.
- Allow voluntary programs have a tool for viewing and managing your data.

XG76 amphibian SARE



The evening 12/3/2011 Javier Noguera, Toni García and I went to look for amphibians and one of the channels Tentegorra, Rambla Quarry Pond and Mount San Julian in the grid XG76.
Throughout the night we saw / heard the 3 species of amphibians that are around Cartagena:
- Common Frog ( Pelophylax perezi): 22 copies
- common spotted toad ( Pelodytes punctatus): 5 males singing
- Natterjack Toad (Bufo calamita ): 2 males singing, and another copy that we are crossing a road.

It seems that spring has arrived and reptiles begin to move ... There is a minilistado of what we have seen in the last week.

Thursday 10 in the Rambla del Canar (Cartagena), a juvenile Iberian lizard (Podarcis hispanica ), and Saturday 12, rising 33 (La Union) other.

On Sunday 13, while walking along the right bank of the Segura, between the mouth of Contraparada and Rambla Salada, we observed 11 terrapin (Mauremys leper ) basking in the reeds. Are the first to see the area since 19 December.

On Monday 14, in the forest nursery Anse, in the district of Conception (Cartagena ), moving the compost appeared a blind shingles ( Blanus cinereus). This species usually occurs in the nursery.
